The Pavilions at Columbus and Union SquareParks:
Same Community Needs, Different Outcome?

A slideshow comparing the newly-renovated pavilion in Columbus Park (located in Manhattan's Chinatown) and the proposed restaurant use in Union Square's pavilion. Presented and created by Geoffrey Croft, the slideshow demonstrates the discrepancy in use between Manhattan's two remaining historic pavilions: Columbus Park was lovingly restored as a community center while Union Square's pavilion is being eyed for commercial restaurant use.
